Founding Scientist – Sci-Layne Inc.

Bambi Layne is an analytical chemist and scientist who focuses on pharmaceutical and biotech product safety through cGMP Quality Control and Validation. In her twenty-eight-year career, she’s supported Fortune 500 companies such as Bristol Myers Squibb and Genzyme-Sanofi directly in the lab. Bambi has validated laboratory equipment to ensure method and data compliance from San Francisco to Padua Italy, and also locally in East Greenwich, with Amgen’s first major expansion in 2004.

Recently, Bambi authored a supplier comparability report which made the global regulatory rounds in support of LFB-USA’s product, sevenfact (the factor sevenA – blood clotting factor critical for hemophiliacs who cannot accept any other clotting factor. The FDA definitely knows her name.
From personal experience with metastasized thyroid cancer, Bambi brings us sciLayne — Pioneers in real-time wearables for thyroid patients, providing personal variable daily dosing and metabolic optimization, and aiming to decrease thyroid cancer rates that continue to rise.
Science found her first when she battled life-threatening ulcerative colitis at the age of 11, requiring ostomy surgery at 17. And, her insatiable right brain/left brain duality, has her authoring EcoTransformations, a life-photo essay on upcycled fashion, and traveling to over 22 countries, and bicycling across the United States in support of various charities. She constantly and irreverently jokes she could be dead twice, yet is still here to bother us — simply because there is work to be done and lives to touch — hopefully for the better.
sciLayne has a clear mission and value statement, incessantly dedicated to sound science through validation.
