James has an extensive background building and scaling high growth businesses in PE and VC backed companies. Over the past 20 years, James has been at various high tech businesses, with a data and analytics focus, that have transformed industries. Although James has a well-rounded background in how to build, scale and operate a business, his area of expertise is in the GTM functions. For over 20 years, James has been a senior executive leading sales and marketing organizations in high growth early-stage companies like TrueAdvantage and Warehouse Exchange and industry leaders like, OneSource Information Services, Gordian and Fortive.

In addition to being an executive with deep operational skills James has raised over $30 million in capital and had multiple successful exits, including the acquisition of Gordian to Fortive for $775 million in 2018. This deal was recognized by Merger’s & Acquisitions as the Middle Market Deal Of The Year. Currently James is the Chief Revenue Officer at Warehouse Exchange, a venture backed company that provides an online marketplace to monetize underutilized warehouse space, in addition to being an Advisor at Stratega, a leading international market research company.

Throughout James’ career he has been very active in the sales and marketing ecosystem and has been a speaker at various industry events, such as Dreamforce, MS Dynamics, Selling Power/Sales 2.0 and the Association for Inside Sales Professionals.

While much of James’ career has been Boston based, he has recently moved back to his home state and resides in Providence, RI. James is excited about the opportunity to be more active in the Venture Café community and welcomes anyone who wishes to reach out to just connect or network.
