Founding Principle – Excel Academy Rhode Island

Michaelle Larracuente joined Excel’s Staff in 2021and currently serves as the Founding Principal for Excel Academy Rhode Island. Before joining Excel, Michaelle served as a Dean of Motivation and Investment with Achievement First Rhode Island and was a founding teacher and writing specialist within KIPP New Jersey. Michaelle has a long history of social justice work having traveled to over 20 countries to support youth and families in need. Locally, she serves as the first alumni chair for Youth In Action’s Board of Directors, a local youth-led nonprofit organization in Providence, Rhode Island. Michaelle holds a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Education from Johnson & Wales University.

The Future of... FinTech Data Analysis
Suraj Sait and Morgan Prior currently intern at Marstone, Inc., a leading provider of digital investing solutions. During their internship, they chose to analyze trends in user behavior related to risk tolerance questionnaires using a variety of statistical tools. Using their analysis, they then explored classification of users by persona and built a predictive model for classifying users by risk level. In this presentation, Suraj and Morgan will highlight their key findings, as well as the data science concepts which underpin them.
